Here’s the programme I have in mind but it is open to discussion !

Sept.  Early Classical Music (like J.S. Bach, F. Handel, Purcell etc).

Oct.   Later Classical Music (like Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky Korsakov etc).

Nov.    Danceband (including hot dance).

Dec.    Jazz (mostly traditional but some modern).

Jan.    Popular Music of 1940’s and 1950’s.

Feb.     Rock and Roll and Doo Wop of the 1950’s.

Mar.     Popular Music of the 1960’s.

Apr.     Popular Music of the 1970’s (with a little reggae).

May.    Popular Music of the 1980’s.

June.  Popular Modern Music (like Norah Jones, K.T.Tunstall, Cher, Amy Macdonald, Katie Melua etc).

At Christmas we could listen to Christmas music both old and new.

The group is very flexible and we could fit in extra sessions to suit members’ requirements e.g. a Music Quiz maybe at the end.

I’ll be using an old HMV record player and a CD player and using 78rpm, 45rpm,33rpm and CD’S.
