Art 1

ART 1 and ART 2

The groups are equal — all do the same work. ART 1 is on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays while ART 2 is on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.
Sometimes there is a 5th Wednesday called‘Catch-up day’ when members of either group can come in to do a session that they have missed. (Not applicable on 29 November 2023).

Please note: Art 1 days are full now, but there are still a few spaces on Art 2.

We meet in a room above the YHA Bistro in Bridge Street from 10am to 12 noon. The room charge is £20 a session, split between the group. (I will explain collection arrangements).

You can get coffee etc from the Bistro bar below at anytime.

I have all you need though you may bring your own. Paint etc is free. If you need paper there is a charge for each piece from 50p. to £1.50.

Monthly programme is in the Newsletter which comes out usually at the end of the previous month.

If you are using a car, park on the Quayside as the YHA is a 2 hour one.

The outdoor art during the summer everyone brings their own equipment. It is totally free and if wet we can go free into the Bistro though you are expected to buy a drink. Last year we went to other places to draw. We communicate by Mobile phones: everyone has my mobile number so no-one should get lost.

This very friendly group experiments with a wide range of materials and caters for all abilities. New members will be made very welcome.

We meet in the Granary, Bridge Street where we can get coffee in the Bistro. The rent is £15 each week so we each pay £2.50 a week towards the cost of that and the occasional need to replace equipment.

I do provide all equipment but you may bring your own.

Techniques and subjects are part of my tutorial, but members are expected to bring in what they would like to paint.
